How the report is built

Each edition draws on market benchmarks from the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis (FRED), lending and credit research from Trepp, interest rate cap pricing from Chatham Financial, bank lending data from FDIC Call Reports and announcements from active lenders. Every number is attributed to its source and summarized in our own words. Analysis is by Robert Stec, Capital Markets Advisor, a licensed commercial real estate broker and former director at a national commercial loan marketplace.
